So often we feel pulled in two directions with this work: How can I unearth and reckon with the things in my life that are causing my body to channel pain, and also hold space for a positive mindset and openness to ease? A common misconception, I have found in my many years of doing and teaching this work, is that either we can't have both, or we are hurting ourselves by feeling so much heavy stuff. Today on the pod, Magid puts words to this in his thoughtful Speakpipe, and I'm here to answer! Central to this discussion is the fact that if we don't take the necessary steps on this journey, however uncomfortable, our bodies will be unable to release the pain and symptoms of illness.
