Maternal health and malnutrition in children are two very important but at the same time two very neglected issues in our country. Estimates from the year 2020 displayed that about 189.2 million people are undernourished in India! India also displayed a high Maternal Mortality rate over the past years. A lack of resources and information has led to these whopping statistics. The condition of women and child health is considerably declining, especially in underprivileged communities. Ms. Shruthi Iyer, a social entrepreneur, and her organization Foundation for Mother and Child Health work towards improving these healthcare conditions and providing the necessary resources and help to the women as well as their children.
