Summary Paragraph 1

You find yourself spending the summer with your obnoxious cousins Barney and Dora due to your parents going on a business trip. Barney is a bully while Dora is whiny and has a pet bird. You try to hide from them by going into the basement, but end up getting hungry and finding a jar of disgusting-looking purple goop and a slab of chocolate cake in an old refrigerator. You choose to eat the cake and soon realize that you're growing in size. As you escape the house, you accidentally cause damage and are now being chased by neighbors and police. You seek refuge at a circus, and inside the sideshow tent, you encounter an elephant who helps you get into the main big top tent.
