Many years ago, I noticed a problem that came up in my mastermind group. Intelligent people in the group had tremendous potential, and they all wanted to take their businesses to multi seven figures. But the problem was—they couldn’t ask for what they wanted.
So I created a seminar to help them deal with that issue. It involved doing a simple exercise—walk up to strangers and ask, “What would it take for you to give me $20 and feel happy about the experience?”
This exercise is a great mirror that reflects yourself right back to yourself. It quickly exposes whatever is going on inside of you psychologically and physiologically when you ask someone for money. Every one of your issues starts to come to the surface. It’s fascinating and life-changing if you actually do it.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
Why most people have issues around giving and receiving—due to shame, embarrassment, and fear around “breaking the rules”
Why you might have a “getting” energy behind your asking—and why this drives others away from you
What you want is already here—the problem is, you don’t know how to ask for it
You can’t desire (or need) something, without that thing already being in your life somewhere, right now
How two women sat next to each other and had two different experiences at the seminar—one became a multimillion, and the other went home and criticized people for a living and didn’t make any money
How one of my seminar attendees received $20,000 after sharing their story of struggle (and this floored the whole audience)
Why you must check your energy to make sure you’re giving (or receiving) from the right energy
Whatever you believe deep down is causing you to not be able to get what you want. This block often has to do with a psychological issue when it comes to asking for what you want.
