Approaching kids with the most generous interpretation

When our kids do or say something, it's important to ask ourselves, "What is my most generous interpretation of what just happened?" This mindset allows us to soften our responses and improve our interactions with them. We should consider that their behavior might be influenced by factors such as tiredness, hunger, or a desire to have fun. It doesn't mean excusing everything or avoiding accountability, but rather starting from the belief that our kids are inherently good and doing their best in a challenging world.
