Ep 82: Q & A - How Do I Stop Doubting Myself?
I was going to ask you if you have ever doubted yourself but instead, I’ll simply ask, “How much do you doubt yourself?”
Self-doubt is so rampant and almost universal that it’s akin to a global plague. Almost all people, all cultures around the world – people doubt themselves incessantly. It’s tragic and self-destructive.
So, given my last comment, I picked Mari’s question this week, “How do I stop doubting myself?” I knew it would be huge for a lot of people.
In this episode I talk about:
- [1:23] The single thought that causes self-doubt (you have to listen to discover it)
- [4:03] What uncertainty is and what fuels it
- [6:23] What causes “paralysis by analysis.”
- [7:04] How “good, better and best” choices lead to self-doubt
- [9:28] How and why you can “re-decide”
- [13:33] The subjectivity of “right and wrong”
- [21:11] The “24 Hour Rule” I use in my own business and life
- [25:21] And, the single, and easy, solution to getting past self-doubt.
I’m grateful for Mari asking this question because when I saw it, it immediately brought up past memories about myself and I knew I could help you overcome self-doubt.
Transformational Takeaway: Stop working from “right-wrong, good-bad” thinking.
