Ogden becomes a feared and ruthless fur trader

Peter Ogden, a fur trader for the Northwest Company, gained a reputation for being a violent bully against both indigenous people and fellow traders. His aggressive tactics and abusive behavior, including slashing clothes and breaking fingers, made him feared and dangerous. Despite his controversial actions, Ogden's skills as an explorer and his knowledge of the region made him valuable to the Hudson's Bay Company, and he was eventually accepted back into the company.
