The $100 MBA Show MBA1930 Q&A Wednesday: How do I tell my spouse I want to start a business?
Most service-based businesses (web design, copywriting, photography, etc) charge in a way that’s…well, limited.
Usually it’s by the hour, or some other fixed unit that helps the client predict what they’ll spend. But there’s another way to charge. It’s a little different. It requires some risk on your part. But if you and the client are willing to try it, you can both make (much) more money.
It can also help you land clients that are on the fence.
You might not use this trick for every job. But when you do, it has the potential to create serious revenue — and best of all, much of that revenue is passive. If it seems like it’s a little out of left field, it is. But it’s definitely worth a try.
