Typical answer from the majority of anyone you speak with. But what is really happening in the "busy" state?
- Are you being productive?
- Running kids from one activity to the next?
- Are you shopping?
- Are you cleaning and doing laundry?
- Are you preparing dinner?
- Are you talking to your best friend about what happened over the weekend?
- What are you actually accomplishing?
But what I see people experiencing is placing this badge of honor on them in order to be accepted in a world that only pursues and appreciates chaos.
In life, are you required to lead a chaotic life to be successful and accomplished?
Hmmm... Not a question we get asked every day.
But for you, you are unique and special. You don't do life the way other people do. So why not stand out? Why not make the decision that's correct for you in this season?
So I want to ask you, are you doing too much?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Less is more!You don't have to jam-pack your day just to prove you are something special. Let's be real.
- You need to do what feeds your soul.
- You need to do what makes you smile.
- You need to do what lights up your heart.
- You need to do what moves you, what brings you to tears or a huge belly laugh.
You need to do life YOUR way!
- PRIORITIZE what matters. Obviously, you have to take care of the kiddos and family, and house and all. But look specifically at what that means. And then, see how you can make the journey through your day a smoother transition from one thing to the next.
- TRANSITION smoothly through your day. Release yourself from unnecessary stress. Just go through your day focused on the ONE thing. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo
- SCALE BACK. Make the cuts. You can't be afraid to limit what you do in the season you are in. You can always add back in if time allows.
Reflect on your schedule this week? Are you doing too much? Are there areas you need to scale back?
