51:10
Liza Bird Burgess and LJ Lewis discuss a round of questions about the practicalities of the game. In this episode, they are with Exeter Chiefs director of rugby, Susie Appleby.
Susie played over 50 times for England. She was assistant coach to the England women's sevens team and coached Gloucester-Hartbury Ladies in the Premiership until the end of the 2020 season.
In this episode, they discuss the following:
- How do you prioritise what to focus on when pulling a new squad together?
- What will the first session look like when players are back in training
- How can you use 7s' drills/skills to upskill 15s players?
- With a renewed focus and clarity around the breakdown, do you think we can learn from sevens when approaching training in this area of the game?
