Meeting the three heroes
The podcast introduces us to three main characters: Ursilon, Suverin Kedberiket (Suvi), and Amé. Ursilon was nearly caught by a hedge mage and his goon squad years ago and is searching for a special sword. Suvi is the apprentice to the archmage Silence and has come to visit her ailing grandmother. Amé is the apprentice of grandmother Ren and is in a witch's cottage outside the village of Toma. Grandmother Ren passes away and her familiar, Tarot, advises Amé to find Ursilon.
Encountering a mysterious stranger
As the sun sets, time slows down due to the presence of powerful spirits. A figure dressed in black approaches the cottage and requests entry. Suvi, feeling a sense of danger, denies the stranger's request and demands to know their name. The stranger refuses to provide a name but reveals themselves as a wanderer and offers to return in a year's time.
Traveling to the city of Joris
Suvi and Amé leave the cottage and embark on a journey to find Ursilon. Guided by a fox, they travel through villages, forests, and finally arrive at the city of Joris. The city is larger than anything Amé has ever seen, with a bustling port and a lively fair. They witness a performance of Sir Gallant and the Princess Briany, but their disappointment prompts them to leave and continue their search elsewhere.
Reuniting with Ursula
Suvi and Ami search for Ursula, who has been hiding behind a glamour as a performer at the fair. They find Ursula in a small tent and express their love and concern for him. Ursula explains that he didn't want to face them after feeling ashamed of his appearance and current situation. They assure Ursula that they accept him and need his help. Ursula reveals that he no longer has the music box, but they inform him that they have a new quest for him.
The Missing Sword
Ursula confesses that he got rid of the sword Wavebreaker during a harsh winter when he needed shelter. Suvi and Ami comfort Ursula and assure him that it's not his fault. They inform Ursula that they now have a quest to retrieve the missing sword and ask for his help in breaking a curse. Despite not having the sword, Ursula joins them and they set off on their new adventure.
