Episode 1011: Social Media for Real Estate Agents: 4 Trust Builders

If you’re wondering what to post on social media as a real estate agent, this video gives you four simple ways to show up consistently, build trust, and stay relevant without spending your entire weekend trying to invent content from scratch. A lot of agents struggle with real estate social media marketing because they think every post needs to be completely new, perfectly polished, and worthy of going viral. It doesn’t. You need a repeatable social media strategy for real estate that helps your audience get to know you, trust you, and remember you when they need an agent.

I share four things real estate agents should do on social media to build consistency and attract the right audience. The ideas come from a post I shared with the LabCoat Agents community that generated strong responses, and the goal is to turn those ideas into habits you can keep using week after week.

The first step is keeping your real estate content strategy simple. Pick one platform and commit to a schedule you can actually maintain. For example, you might post on Instagram every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with market information on Monday, a practical tip on Wednesday, and a local story on Friday. A consistent Instagram marketing strategy for real estate agents makes it easier for your audience to know when to expect you, while a clear call to action gives them an easy next step.

The second strategy is to share what you are learning right now. Your conversations with clients, challenges in the market, questions you keep hearing, and experiences from your day-to-day work can all become valuable real estate content ideas. You don’t need to stare at a blank screen wondering what to post. Write down what happened, use AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to help organize the story, and turn it into a short video script you can record. Your real experiences are already content, you just have to package them.

The third strategy is content repurposing for real estate agents. When something performs well, don’t post it once and immediately forget about it. Turn a successful Facebook post into an Instagram Reel, expand the idea into a newsletter, create a longer YouTube video, or turn the key points into an Instagram carousel for real estate. Repurposing allows you to get more mileage from content that has already proven people care about it, while making your real estate content creation process much easier.

The final strategy is to stay focused. Strong social media content for real estate agents doesn’t need to cover five different topics in 60 seconds. Pick one story, outline the points you want to make, and stay on track.

Four Social Media Strategies To Try This Weekend

• Choose One Platform: Build a sustainable social media posting schedule for real estate by choosing one platform and creating a rhythm you can maintain instead of trying to post everywhere at once.
• Share What You Know: Turn client conversations, market changes, and personal experiences into real estate educational content that helps your audience understand what is happening in their market.
• Repurpose Winning Content: Use real estate content repurposing to turn one successful idea into Reels, newsletters, videos, Stories, and social media posts for real estate agents.
• Stay On Topic: Create stronger real estate video content by outlining your message before recording and giving your audience one clear idea to follow from beginning to end.
