Anat Baniel was born in Israel and worked with the great master of movement Moshe Feldenkrais, who frequently taught classes in her parents' home. She has established an international reputation for her work with children with special needs. A clinical psychologist who, since the early 1980s, has refined her method for working with children and now runs the Anat Baniel Method facility in Marin county in Northern California. She created the Anat Baniel Method for working with special needs children and adults. She is the author of Kids Beyond Limits: The Anat Baniel Method for Awakening the Brain and Transforming the Life of Your Child With Special Needs (TarcherPerigee Books 2012).
