Talent recruiters are in a unique position compared to other roles within a business, because the resource they manage is people. That human element can sometimes be difficult to account for, and each individual brings their own unique needs to the table when they’re considering joining an organization. Recruiters then have to walk a fine line between finding people that add value to the company and making room for the company to cater to the talent’s needs.


For Sheila, finding the perfect balance in that complicated dance is one of her greatest passions. She relishes the opportunity to train and develop future leaders by understanding their needs and creating a value proposition that encourages them to fully commit to their work. To her, it’s not just about landing the right talent, but continuing to grow that talent and consistently offering them incentives to work on their own development. When done well, it creates a symbiotic relationship that promotes mutual success.
