Credentials don't shield healthcare providers from bias and sexual harassment.
Fact: An insanely high percentage of doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, PAs and physical therapists have reported an episode of sexual harassment that was initiated by a patient. This means its our job to be prepared for not if, but when it happens, and how to handle it effectively and professionally as an individual, colleague, or supervisor.

In the second part of this 2-part series, we continue the conversation on how to positively address difficult scenarios regardless of gender, and how to help keep our patients focused on their health.
