In our latest episode Nate and I talk about the dreaded subject of end of the year banquets and how to leverage this to build team unity and culture. Get the weekly podcast coaching notes by going to thriveonchallenge.com and subscribing to the weekly newsletter! What activities can we do at our banquet that add meaning to the season and allow parents and athletes to appreciate that at the end of the year? - Limit the amount you talk as a coach - Allow your athletes and assistant coaches to give out the awards - Have your athletes give reasons why other players deserve certain awards. What is it that you really want people to take away from your speech? Highlight the fact that as a coach, you know that every one of your players is going to go through something during this year, but the benefit of being a part of YOUR program is that you all will go through it together and you will come out better on the other side of it. Embrace the end of year banquet. Create an experience that is full of meaning. We'd love to hear from you!
