“For the majority of Americans, jumping into a detox is not advisable. The big concern is that when you detox, your body has to effectively eliminate those toxins. If you encourage the release of these toxicants, the body has to get them out. If you don’t do it in a safe, medically supervised way, these toxins can be redistributed to more dangerous areas of your body, like the brain or heart, and you can actually do more damage.”
