Tree Carr: "Death is life-affirming" - How you can be Death Positive
Death is a certainty for us all. So how have we got to a place where our culture is so death avoidant? And what does this do to us as humanity?
I am joined today by Tree Carr - who is an author, TEDx speaker, death midwife (also known as a death doula), high priestess witch and master of Wicca.
We tackle this BIG topic - speaking to how our death avoidant culture actually harms us. By not allowing us the healing that comes when we can spend time with our beloveds after death. Plus allow our grief to roar through catharsis.
Tree has such wisdom, that is rooted in her personal story and a near death experience that saw her staring into the void of death. She brings such joy and humour to the conversation around death. If you’re watching this podcast you might be able to see how much I was beaming throughout.
