Ryan has taught over 800 CEOs, VPs, and leaders how to grow their tech companies from $1 million to $30 million or more using the principles in his proprietary framework. He explains that he was attracted to sales because he saw the opportunity to be compensated based on results rather than tenure or promotion. However, he eventually hit a ceiling in his income and wanted to do his own thing, contributing to something meaningful while helping others. Staley believes that a certain level of "sickness" is required to become a CEO or CRO, as it requires a hard-driving personality. This episode also touches on the risks of AI if we don't learn how to use it responsibly, and if no regulation is ever introduced. While AI is an incredible resource, it does stand to cause a lot of harm in its path to mainstream use.
