Whether we like it or not, the disease of addiction is profoundly misunderstood. I fully realize that this disease is complex and challenging to understand, but unfortunately, I think it's often misunderstood willfully. Addiction is never pretty, fun, or enjoyable to deal with, and this becomes hard when it is you or your loved one who needs treatment. I give you my thoughts, and I'd love your feedback.
