Finding Hope: Healing After Domestic Violence with Hope Carpenter
In the United States, the toll of domestic violence is staggering. With nearly 20 people per minute falling victim to physical abuse at the hands of an intimate partner, and over 10 million women and men experiencing domestic violence in a single year, it's a pervasive issue that demands our attention. Today, I'm honored to be joined by an inspiring survivor and advocate, Hope Carpenter. For 13 years, Hope has dedicated herself to the wellness industry, focusing on spirituality and the healing arts. Today, she's embarked on a new journey, pursuing a master's degree in social work to become a licensed therapist. In this episode, Hope courageously opens up about her personal experience with domestic violence. She helps us understand what domestic violence truly looks like—beyond the stereotypes and misconceptions. Through her own journey of healing from the trauma, Hope gives us a glimpse into the strength and resilience it takes to not only survive but to thrive. Join us as we delve deep into conversations that matter—conversations that need to be normalized. Together, we'll explore the nuances of domestic violence, its impact on individuals and society, and how we can all contribute to breaking the cycle. --- Connect with us on Instagram and Facebook: @Inspiring My Generation Visit our website: inspiringmygeneration.org
