The Unification of Germany and Italy

The congress of berlin was held in 1882. It led to increased resentment among the slavs, who thought that the other nationalities of europe did not really see them as possess ing equal dignity or stature. All it did was move the pieces on the board into a rough position that would create a succession of crises 30 years later that would lead directly towarld war one.
