The Usatovo Culture in the Balkans
The usitovo culture began to emerge around 35 hundred b c, a few centuries after the first group of indo europeans swept through the area. This new culture appears to have been a bit of a hybrid culture, a kind of mixture between the balkan farmers to the south and the indo european herders to the north. Based upon bone evidence, it appears that their economy depended on sheep and goats, but especially sheep. And this suggests that they were raising sheep for wool.
