"It doesn't really matter what the dose is of carbohydrate, either pre or during training," he says. "If I train fasted, if I train non-faceted, unless I'm trying to do a pretty big marathon session, it's not gonna matter for me." He adds that some people who skip their pre-workout meal will have a noticeable decrease in performance and increase in the perception of difficulty.
