The Evolution of Professional Music Theory
Professor Jardigan won the Wallace Berry Award for his work on Partumante in 2007. He was surprised to receive it because music theory had taken a very esoteric turn since the 1970s. The Society of Music Theory is now more interested in how children learn, Professor Jardigan says.
