The Benefits of Plant Based Protein for Muscle Growth

We have some pretty interesting studies that show that plant based protein can be just as good as animal based protein for building and maintaining muscle mass. And the most recent study actually came out in 2023, where they reported very comparable protein synthesis rate, skeletal muscle growth in those that were consuming high protein omnivorous or non animal sources of protein. It just didn't make a difference. What made a difference was the amount of protein that they were consuming and they just had to be consuming enough. That's it.
