Sleep improves learning and memory. Senaptic plasticity, et cetera. But now we are learning that sleep actually improves cleansing the brain. So for example, the genofirtiks and other stuff, the gunk in the brain, gets broken down and is clean duing his sleep die. And i would say that there there might be some aspect of fasting to this.
