How to Slow Down Reading for Accuracy
A third of every lesson is reading out loud. The students turn and read with a shoulder partner. It's at the end of a structured literacy lesson. Sometimes I'll set a timer for say eight minutes, ready go. And slowly you build it up where you're reading authentic texts for at least 20 minutes with your partner.
