The Nudge in the Toilet

A nudge is something in environment that attracts our attention and influences our behavior. It doesn't require anyone to do anything and doesn't change economic incentives. Homo economics would not react to nudges, but humans will rattle off examples of what nudges are. The most famous nudge appeared in the urinals of the amsterdam airport where some genius got the idea to etch the image of a house fly dead centre in the uri.
