There was something like years and years ago about there being sawdust in American Parmesan cheese. It just has cellulose as an anti-caking agent. A lot of products on the US market, I think it's regulated quite a bit more heavily elsewhere in the world. If you adulterate your olive oil with sunflower oil, yeah, it's going to be a cheaper product.
