Where Do Prior Probabilities Come From?

The objection that people have to Bayesian methods generally is where do the priors come from? You know. We've talked about that a lot but certainly I want to hear your take on it. So if you want probability to mean something like degree of confidence or degree of belief, then you need to think through, well, where do prior probabilities come from? And the answer is basically that it's all about information.
