The Benefits of Long Slow Volume Work
The benefits of riding at 60% include increased metabolic activity and faster motor units. The high intensity has been shown that that pathway is limited. You see the gains very quickly, but after about six weeks, you're really not going to see more gains where with that long slow volume work, the gains are going to continue to progress.
