How to Start a High Intensity Running Program

I think generally you want to check form and look for imbalances when starting with an athlete. Simple things like kind of do the same amount of calf raises each side, that kind of thing or glute bridges. Just think about what you're running on. Try and make it a softer surface. Does it have to be track? I mean, even running around the bend on track, if you're not used to it, could lead to injury. But in many, for many athletes, I find hills to be a good option to track.
