Do We Need Subscriptions for Local Journalists?

We lost 16,000 journalism jobs in the United States last year. So what can we do about it? Welli we should go directly to people. My hope is that we'll see people get into this who have not been doing it before. If you can find your 500 or thousand subscribers, you're probably going to be able to make a decent living and a huge number of American communities.
