The minute you adhere to a diet with a name, you're almost like contractually obligated to that paradigm. And diets are not contracts, you know, like tri-things iterate. I think eating more legumes than you diet could be a good thing. The research isn't particularly solid because there haven't been too many of these RCTs. But I think it's interesting enough for people to at least experiment with on a one to one basis.
