Carbohydrates and Bone Injuries

An athlete doing endurance training needs up to say 40 calories per kilo of fat free mass to maintain bone metabolism. For every hour, beyond four hours of training, there's an increase of 5% for bone stress injury risk. So I just think triathletes have the hardest job of all in getting enough calories in. And you can't get away with a caloric deficit for too long.
