I've never met anyone successful who did not have a bunch of failures because that's how you learn it's the only way you can learn sometimes I know granted I love Doug Adams and I think of him more as a philosopher than as a sci-fi author. But his quote about that human beings who seem to be unique in our ability to learn from the errors of others seem remarkably disinclined to do so yeah I have a quote that should maybe encapsulate this conversation by but it's when there is no wind row  that's a good philosophy for cons.
