You want your team to be filling in that spreadsheet with the amount of hours they use, the spread ahead they use. We've got all the snazzy system that tells us but very rarely do people go in there and look. And I'm sure you're not doing it enough. It creates a culture of knowing the numbers at all levels of the business. If you ask any of my managers, deputy managers and supervisors, they pretty much know the daily average of how spend ahead as a business.
