The Effects of Strength Training on Muscle Growth
The muscles that we're training are going to grow at different rates, even if they're in the same group because of their relative leverages. And this is a great opportunity to just link this to another concept, which is that once we start doing a strength training program, the increase in size is going to be obviously bigger. That means your mechanical advantage for that muscle is now increasing faster than the mechanical advantage of the other muscles. Now let's say that proximal region maxes out, you know, five years after starting training, I'm absolutely maxed out. Then the brain doesn't recognize that I don't have the ability to increase the size of that muscle. It just carries
