The Disconnection of the Father
Tina: I feel that there's this huge expectation on women that they sacrifice their talents and their dreams to be something greater than the gatekeeper of the house. And it's disconnecting for the father too because you kind of feel like the woman's doing the primary responsibility of nurturing, she says. Tina: We're out serving and working hard and making money and, you know, serving other people. The wife's got the kids and I can feel the kids kind of leaning towards the wife,. more and much having a much stronger relationship and that hurts. You know, it hurts that I haven't been there enough for them emotionally.
