When Atul Gawande wrote the book, The Checklist Manifesto, he saw that checklists were not standard operating procedure for most people. And so the idea of a checklist is to figure out those best practices. What are you supposed to be doing when you perform well? And you codify that in a list and you don't perform. You don't risk your capital unless you do A, B, C, D, and E.
