The Origins of the Indo European Language
All of the major european languages are included within the indo european family. However, there are a few language which are not considered part of this family. These include finish in finland, estonian in estonia and samon in northern scandinavia. But with these few exceptions, all of the other languages of europe are descended from the original Indo-European language. Next time we'll look at how linguist have actually been able to reconstruct significant portions of this ancient language. And see how grim's law allows us to reconstruct a significant portion of that original into european language.
