Many of our hormon levels, cortesal et cetera, have a diurnal pattern to them. By doing vigorous exercise late in the evening, there's some thoughts that your cortucal is going to go up because you're stressing your body and that may perturb your sleep. There was another big study done in 20 18 that showed that exercise done late in the night actually had people have better sleep.
