The Traditional Version of Fate

Fate means to break and soak in something. Historically referd to usually stale bread or like, not stale, but left over bread that was torn into pieces before being topped with a sauce. Nowadays it's seen as a very celebratory or festive dish that you often invite people over and prepare. You start with a layer of toasted peter bread, and then you come with the toppings.
