In the past 10 years, there have been amazing discovery in the field. We have now a better idea of the brain network that controlled torpor. The arctic ground squirrel's brain is a minus one Celsius. How is this brain able to bring the body back to normal? That's still quite unknown. After you wake up, I would say you will also be very, very sleepy. You need to sleep after hibernation.
