The Importance of Mental Fitness in Peacetime

If you've trained yourself on the little ones, to where they're not even a thing anymore, and you're really aware of those middle ones, when the big one hits, it won't hit with the same impact. That's the goal of this whole pursuit. I guess if your spouse loses a lot of jobs often, you could use it as training. But then there's the big ones, right? Kid gets sick, lose a loved one, you lose a job, you can't pay your bills. What my contention is like, survive those.
