The TTM2 Trial: Six Inclusion Criteria

With 1624 patients, we had a 90% power to detect an 8% favorable outcome in the neurological outcomes of the patients. To account for an anticipated 5% loss to follow-up, we inflated that number to 1,700 patients. Patients were allocated on a one-to-run ratio to either mild hypercapnia or to targeted normal capnia. We provided a bedside tool to aid clinician decision-making in relation to ventilation management and the tool here shows that if they're in the green zone, they are just right. If it was in the red zone, they were too high, and if it was the blue zone, they'd be too low.
