Sub stack started as a newsletter platform for writers. CEO Chris Best says they're building a new part of the internet that's based on different laws of physics, subscription instead of ads. The business model is based on subscriptions, not ads, and that that is novel in this space. But now sub stack is building a huge engine around subscribing to people which feels like it's coercing us onto their platform as a whole.
