As a medical student in Sierra Leone, you were "blown away and pretty traumatized" by how broken the healthcare system was. You went on to build a nonprofit that helped improve health care outcomes there. After several years of doing this work, you eventually came back to the U.S., but continued to change KPI's fundamental scale for pediatric mortality.
