As a kid, I read every fairy tale book you could throw at me. And one of the things about kids is they reread again and again and again. But then as I got older, I evolved to more adventure type stories. Robinson Crusoe was definitely fantasy and an adventure. It's not exactly a fairy tale, but it is, it's definitely fantasy andAn adventure. The Wizard of Oz and anything. Anything that was exploratory where people were put into odd situations and had to survive or learn how to live or get out of there. How do they escape? How do they get back? Any kind of stories like that, I was always drawn to.
